A Yoga and Inspirational evening will be held to support Eileen, Diane’s mother, on Sunday, February 24 at 7pm. Women are invited to come join us for a relaxing yoga class, a cup of tea and refreshments, and to show your encouragement and support to Eileen during this difficult time. Donations to their family account will be gladly accepted. Bring either a yoga mat or a large towel, and wear comfortable clothing. All women are welcome.

To attend, please RSVP to Janis.Haynes@cox.net or call her at 495-9529. If you have any questions, contact Roz Maissy at maissym@yahoo.com.
Diane is a 14 year old freshman in high school. She was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis in October, 2007. Diane will require a liver transplant, probably within the next 6 months in order to live a healthy life.
Diane’s beloved dad, Paul, suffered for more than five years with an unrelated liver disease. He was not able to receive a donor liver in time and passed away less than a year before Diane was diagnosed. Diane’s mom, Eileen, lovingly cared for Paul, nursing him through many hospitalizations while caring for her three young children. Diane has a twin sister, Laura, and a 19 year old brother, Scott.
Many of you have expressed an interest in helping the Baynes family. There are two ways that you can help. The first is to consider the possibility of being a living donor. The criteria for donation is that you be between the ages of 18 and 55, have a blood type of A+ or O, and be in good health. If you are considering this option, the family requests that you contact the liver transplant coordinator at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles directly. Her information is as follows:
Stephanie Johnson, RN, BSN, MBA, CCTC. Her phone number is (323) 361-5454.
The Baynes family would like to send their heart-felt thanks to those who have offered to become donors. Words cannot adequately express their gratitude for such a generous and selfless act of kindness to help a child in need of the gift of life. You are truly amazing! Please see the “links” at the top of this page for more information on organ donation.
The second way to help the family is to make a donation to help cover Diane’s medical bills. An account has been set up in her name at Wells Fargo Bank. Any amount, large or small, would be greatly appreciated. You can send your donation to:
Wells Fargo Bank – Google
30622 Santa Margarita Parkway
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. 92688 – Google Maps
To the account of Diane Baynes Medical Expenses/ Eileen Baynes.
Account # 2042821708.
Thank you.
